I don't know if this is a bug, but whenever your in your Merc Quarters or sitting in the pre-battle space, holding down R2 prevents you from moving the camera.

No you don't have to buy voice packs. Those are Universal Voice Transmitters that allow you to use the Universal Chat (I think). As long as your in a squad, you should be able to hear and talk to anybody else in that squad.

Try restarting the game, it usually works for me when me and my friend can't voice chat.

I am having the same problem. I have to squint quite badly to be able to read the ridiculously small text. This game has quite a lot of text to, so not being able to read it is the epitome of annoyance.

I was playing in a battle and when I went to try and spawn with my Assault Dropsuit, the timer just turned into four white lines and it wouldn't allow me to spawn. I eventually got kicked because there was nothing I could do to get into the game.
